Regular, Four-Hour, Two-Hour or Direct: Choosing a Delivery Speed

Five service levels, four cutoff times, and one question worth asking first: when does this actually need to arrive?

Y2K Transport flatbed truck with an open deck

Y2K offers several delivery options so customers can balance timing, urgency and cost. They apply to eligible same-day courier and flatbed trucking shipments; crane-truck and freight-brokerage work is scheduled and quoted separately based on equipment, route and job requirements.

Regular service

Our most economical option, using a six-hour delivery window. The cutoff is 11:00 a.m. for the Lower Mainland and 10:00 a.m. for the Fraser Valley. If your shipment can be booked the day before, this is almost always the right choice.

Four-hour service

Pickup and delivery within a four-hour window, with a 12:00 p.m. cutoff for both the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley.

Two-hour service

Expedited service for more time-sensitive shipments. Cutoff is 2:00 p.m. for the Lower Mainland and 1:00 p.m. for the Fraser Valley.

Direct service

The first appropriate available vehicle is dispatched to the pickup location and travels straight to the delivery destination — no other stops. Because it depends on vehicle and dispatch availability rather than a scheduled run, we can generally accommodate direct requests beyond the standard cutoff times.

Special service

Customized transportation for unusual, urgent or specialized requirements: after-hours delivery, weekend delivery, hourly service, hot-shot deliveries, specialized equipment and special handling arrangements. Contact dispatch to confirm availability and pricing.

One thing worth knowing

All of these service levels assume the delivery customer is open until 5:00 p.m. If the receiving location closes earlier, the delivery may be completed the next working day — so it is worth mentioning the closing time when you book.
